  2. Create a stop motion video with your cube as the star.
  3. Perform an art project that was assigned to one of the other cubes. Upload descriptions, photos, or videos here. Your contribution may appear in a special display at the Art Institute.

For my art project, I decided to drink a bottle of semi-cheap wine and think about what my art project should be. My art project was very successful.

#6 Kaleena commented on 12/11/2009

I just completed my first 501 cube....I decided to choose cube number 126's idea which states:

Create your own Ellsworth Kelly
Inspired by Ellsworth Kelly’s Red Yellow Blue White and Black, discover or create artwork for each side of your cube (you could use paint colors, photos glued on the sides, or whatever you like); take a photo and upload it here. Then bring your cube to the information desk at the Art Institute. Your contribution may appear in a special display at the museum.

I made a cube out of watercolor paper and glued it over the red cube I printed out from the site. The colors are pastels. The name of the piece is "Red, Yellow, Blue, and Black Circles on White"

Enjoy!

We'll be staying in Streeterville for 3 days next week (a vacation from the burbs) My plan is to place one cube made by each of the 4 people in our family. They'll be together, like family, and feature 10 year old artwork from my kids. I found an old doodle book of theirs and was inspired. Cheers!

“Let’s go CAMERAlot. Get a picture.”
is the nice thing someone has ever said to me.

Now the Red Cube is very magical explaining the 3D experience in a more exciting way. From the Kodak film age of Photography progressing to the digital SLR camera, the new digital picture has improved in quality to Post and Host or the Print displayed under track lighting. The slide shows exhibits the colorful moments of CAMERAlot © Russ Redsville, a visual arts novel. Three Photographers get a major Photo Show at the Art Institute of Chicago.
